Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:
00am - 2:
30pm.
Summary:
Screen Press Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of all UV equipment such as the M&R Conquest, flatbed, and cylinder silkscreen press.
The Operator will be responsible for producing quality finished products that meet job specifications and safety, quality and productivity standards.
What You'll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:
Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet job specifications.
Setup equipment to job specifications and run products when ready.
Make adjustments, as needed, to uphold specifications and timely flow of materials.
Monitor assigned equipment during run to ensure machine is maintaining the proper settings.
Concurrently prep the upcoming jobs to minimize production waste.
Ensure the completion of assignments by meeting quality/quantity specifications and requirements.
Troubleshoot machine issues.
If possible, resolve it and then notify leadership team.
Maintain equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules.
Work with solvents and UV-based inks.
Understand the relationship between inks and substrates.
Understand what causes printing variables and know how to control them Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are clean, in good working order and are free of safety hazards.
Report all workplace hazards, injuries, illnesses and/or near misses to leadership team immediately.
Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Ability and willingness to cross-train in other departments as assigned.
Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Required qualifications for this job include:
a high school diploma/HSED/GED Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be willing to perform tasks listed in other pay grade job descriptions as required A strong technical understanding of screen-printing and related functions.
Knowledge of equipment, materials and processes used in the manufacturing of company products.
Strong blueprint reading and math skills, with the ability to use a calculator and measuring equipment.
Ability to prioritize and respond to projects based on urgency and need.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Regularly required to stand for 8-10 hours; and walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
Reach and use arms and hands to carry, handle, or feel.
Good communication skills.
Capable and able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Be able to handle and tolerate UV Coating chemicals.
Specific vision requirements in close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
