Transportation Coordinator Job Description The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for arranging transportation in a timely manner and use the most cost-effective method to safely transport our customers to their medical appointments.
This individual will work closely with local hospitals, clinics, and manage care organizations to coordinate transportation for our customers and solve issues as they occur.
The position also includes a wide range of office and data entry duties for our transportation department.
Will be in office training to start position with option to work remote from home after training is complete.
Responsibilities -Communicate with local hospitals, clinics, and Manage Care Organization to schedule appointments for our customers and residents.
-Communicate with Manage Care Organization for approval to transport our residents to their medical appointments.
-Ensure all appointments are added into our website correctly.
-Tracks, calculates, and coordinates driver and route information.
-Dispatch drivers.
-Coordinate transportation for all appointments.
Including pickup address, pickup time, drop-off location, and when the customer is done so we can take them back home.
-Act as a liaison between the drivers, office and external vendors to ensure everyone is on the same page.
-Assist the transportation team in anyway possible that may also include driving when the team needed help.
-Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications -Must have excellent customer service skill -Experience in an administrative support role or office setting -Strong written and oral communication skills -Proficiency in using computers especially with Microsoft products -Ability to build strong relationships with coworkers and external stakeholders - Ability to prioritize, frequently and quickly shift tasks, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
